Summit County Juvenile Court Magistrate and Falls High graduate Rita Rochford is running for Judge of Ohio’s Ninth District Court of Appeals. The Ninth District covers Medina, Lorain, Summit and Wayne Counties.
Rochford has spent over seven years as Magistrate in the office of Juvenile Court Judge Linda Teodosio. Rochford also supervises the court’s Citizen Review Board.
Magistrate Rochford tutored for Akron Public Schools from 2004 to 2009 and had previously served as a member of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese Commission on Child Sex Abuse. Magistrate Rochford's professional career includes experience in the private and public sectors. Rochford was Corporate Counsel for Ebner Furnaces, Inc., Deputy Law Director/Prosecutor for the City of Stow, and a partner in the law firm of Martin, Rochford and Durr.
